Strangers

What influence do these strangers that I see have over me? From the billions of unfamiliar faces, which will I grow to love and which will I betray? These strangers that I pass each day, what significance do they hold in my life? And after I know their names, what expectations do I have of them and them of me?
How is it possible, that, from these people I've never met, I can form a bond that is so unbelievably consuming? How can these people make me so blissful or depressed? What was it that attracted me to them in the first place? Was it unconditional love? Or was it simply curiosity? And if I was ignorant? Would I be happier? Sadder?

Phenomenon

It is to the misfortune  of the few selected mortals who encounter with the supernatural that, from those few, do not survive to tell the tale. Despite the rare fools who wish to come across such a suicidal stumble into what they deem to be magic, it is those most unexpected who meet with things so foul. It is to the fault of human nature that simple fear has subdued the belief in the paranormal and it is perhaps also due to fear that the naked human eyes have dulled to preclude the magical fiends who are simply unseen--hidden in the population. Nevertheless, until the judgement of the creatures that hold the key to the fate of men is decided, catastrophe has yet to befall upon the earth. Before then, however, let those who live and remain relatively sane be of significance, for their confrontation with near demise is nothing minute.

Epic Questions

What is the purpose of mankind, lest it be for supremeness or dominance? Shall our reason of existence be for each other, strangers we have never met, or those close to us, some of whom will stab a heart wound deeper than any other? Why do we try to answer the most difficult questions, when even the simplest ones cannot be tagged with a basic answer? Why do we feel greed for happiness, when in the end, that same greed brings about nothing but tragedies? Why do we smile and laugh when in the back of our minds, the constant reminders of corruption in the world remain? What is a dream? Or courage? Or even happiness? Where do we find answers? Will we ever? These are the epic questions that we have always asked but never spoken, pushed to the nether regions of our consciousness.
